Based in Detroit, MI and students of Wayne State University in Downtown Detroit, Sugar Brown is influenced by just about everything. Obviously the local music scene is something that helps shape bands into their own identity. Aside from that, we as musicians are influenced heavily by positive forms of music. Music that promotes creativity and is thought provoking in both content and texture. Specifically, many forms of Jazz, Jam Bands, Rock, R&B, Funk and Motown are constantly in each of our disc changers.
