Biography

Scott Hogan has been a working musician since he was 15. He toured as the bassist for the pop group Hanson for 4 years, which included a performance on the 98' Grammys and 5 performances on Late Night with David Letterman.

The band is influenced most by music from the 70's. We feel there was an abundance of creative music at that time and a lot of exploration of instruments and sound. We try to replicate that old school vibe.

Scott Hogan studied under jazz bassist/composer John Patittucci and attended New York University as a jazz performance major.

Lyrics

"Barbados"

Written By: Scott Hogan

No other place I'd rather be
Than in her arms or in her company
No other scene I'd rather see
Than a crystal blue ocean washing sand from my feet

Cause there's too many times I've let life go
Not noticing all the love they show
So if I lag a little behind just know

She is Barbados to me
When I'm in her arms or in her company
No other scene I'd rather see
Than a crystal blue ocean from under a palm tree

I've travelled here to find
Memories to tattoo on my mind
Gonna leave acquaintances behind
Gonna let my body unwind

Cause there's too many times I've let life go
Not noticing all the love they show
So if I lag a little behind just know

She is Barbados to me
When I'm in her arms or in her company
No other scene I'd rather see
Than a crystal blue ocean from under a palm tree

If I only knew before what got me down
I'd keep those feelings from ever coming round

Cause there's too many times I've let life go
Not noticing all the love they show
So if I lag a little behing just know

She is Barbados to me
When I'm in her arms or in her company
No other scene I'd rather see
Than a crystal blue ocean from under a palm tree

"Beneath the Sun"

Written By: Scott Hogan

She got taken away
To help deal with the pain
So lost at such a cost
Keep hearin it again and again

Steppin' out the door
Feelin' the grey clouds covering more
Of the sky, reflects in my eyes
They hang a little low

All I want is for you to be
A place where only the sun you see
Somewhere you feel safe
Somehow find that place
Beneath the Sun

Taking soft steps to you
Regret and rage there with me too
Asking why till buring eyes
Bounce between green and blue

All I want is for you to be
A place where only the sun you see
Somewhere you feel safe
Somehow find that place
Beneath the Sun

Somewhere you feel safe
Somehow please find that place
Beneath the Sun

Beneath the Sun...

"Pushing Uphill"

Written By: Scott Hogan

"Pushing Uphill"

Can't escape what's in my head
It's what was done and not what was said
These feelings felt I can't forget

Can't escape what's on my mind
From right to left no comfort to find
Exhaling slow trying to unwind

Pushing uphill
Sooner or later she'll come around if you let her
So just lay still
Sooner or later forgiving feels much better

I lie awake and toss in bed
Emotions felt I can't forget
Burning up with these regrets

Pushing uphill
Sooner or later she'll come around if you let her
So just lay still
Sooner or later forgiving feels much better
