"Voice of Guitar Hero to Perform at Peg House"

Becca Neunuebel, who has been featured on 4 Harmonix video games including Guitar Hero and Rock Band, is coming to Mendocino for 2 live performances. On July 18th, 2008, Neunuebel and her band Sugar Shack will be performing at the Peg House in Leggett, CA at 7:00 PM. The next day, the band will be heading to the coast for a 9:30pm performance at the legendary Caspar Inn in Caspar, CA.
The Peg House is a relatively new music venue in Mendocino County located in Legget at 69501 Highway 101 across from the Bluesmobile, an abandoned cop car with 2 Blues Brothers dummies inside. Sugar Shack’s concert takes place in a beautiful outdoor setting and the cover charge is $10 for 2 full sets of music. The Caspar Inn has existed continually as a roadhouse since 1906, when Caspar was a booming logging town with a population of 800. Several incredible acts have passed through over the years, and July 19th will be Sugar Shack’s first performance at the venue. The show starts at 9:30pm and also features the Kerosene Kondors. The cover is $8.
With elements of soul, R&B, funk, rock, and pop, Sugar Shack plays original music that’s hard to categorize but easy to groove to. If you haven’t played Guitar Hero or Rock Band you probably know someone who has. Come check out some original music from the voice of those seminal video games. Debut Album to be released in 2008

With elements of soul, R&B, funk, rock, and pop, Sugar Shack plays original music that’s hard to categorize but easy to groove to. The first thing that always blows people away is the simultaneous power and beauty of Becca Neunebel’s voice. At 25 years old she has already been on countless recordings, been featured in three Harmonix video games, and received a Chico Area Music Award for Best Female Vocalist.

The next thing that people are drawn to is the groove. We’ve all been to those concerts where nobody gets out of their seats, but you’ll never see that happen at a Sugar Shack show. The members of the band have been laying down grooves for artists like Narada Michael Waldon, Lonnie Smith, Tang, and Will Bernard for the past several years. Though side projects are always available, it’s clear that Sugar Shack is where they have all found their home and will make their mark.

Sugar Shack is the real deal; a solid band with well-crafted original songs and an incredible vocalist. Come check out their next show!
