Bio

Suga T is a Nationwide Legend that grew up in Vallejo, CA spending her adult years in the East Bay Area. She is known nationally for multi-successes opening the door for female Hip Hop in the Greater Bay Area. It started at People’s High Continuation School as a teen mother graduating with two children and singing the Greatest Love of All,,” by Whitney Houston, at her 12th grade graduation ceremony with a local write up in the Vallejo Times Herald Newspaper. From her spiritual influence by her mother and grandparents she always had a level of morals and integrity and loved to sing in the choir. As a teen She played softball, basketball and participated in ROP. She loved to get involved with activities that kept her involved with the community and her family.

Suga T grew up with five brothers. She was very involved and supportive with the activities they were involved in as youth. As they experienced life obstacles and compliments they were taught to stick together through thick and thin. She utilized the county benefits two take care of her children and finish school. She was fortunate to have a supportive family. Eventually Suga T was privileged to work and manage a clothing store her brother (E-40) owned and she decided to go to college with a sociology and small business management major. She later changed from sociology to TV production. They later took the proceeds of the clothing store and purchased a recording studio to record records.

They opened a label called Sick Wid It Records with a mind to push independent records. This goal was accomplished. They started a group called The Click with members D-Shot, Mugzi, E-40 (CEO), Kaveo, Levitti & B-Legit as she was the only female in the group. She recorded a singing album first and later recorded with partner spice a solo rap single on there first Click phonograph release called MVP. Suga and Spice later split up and she changed her name to Suga T and went solo. Also working with her family (The Click) the group recorded other group albums and solo albums that were pushed independently and sold over 500 thousand units with no radio play. SWI Records were known giving hope to other recording artists and entities interested in getting out of the street lifestyle and pushing records independently.

They were later recognized by a host of major record labels and decided to go with Jive Record Label signing a joint record deal over a million dollars. They released hit albums, singles, soundtracks and compilations that went gold and platinum with over 20 million sales. To name a few group recordings, Captain Save, Hurricane and Sprinkle me being known as the biggest brother and sister rap duet ever released in history featuring Suga T and E-40. they were on many soundtracks as a group and solo talent and have toured across country for over 16 years working with artists like Roger, 2 Pac, Snoop, Ce Ce Penniston and more.

Suga T was able to have the best of both worlds as a successful group artist but a struggling solo artist that pushed her into producing solo projects. Suga T had an opportunity to work in movies, sitcoms and radio and to learn the business of music from success and failures. As she faced many challenges personally and in music to being a victim of violence, teen pregnancy, abuse, low self esteem, rejection, social abuse, alcoholism and constant brokenness she became more independent and hands on. In the mist of it all she was brought to a higher level of spiritual relationship with an inspiring and healing testimony. As she out grew her music and image her heart was answered and she later was inspired to produce and record inspirational productions. She owns a company called AnGil Entertainment and is releasing an album titled “ Allusionz” The Story Behind The Glory! While completing a book, movie and documentary she is currently touring showcasing more singing than rapping over banging music tracks by Ugly Fingers, Terrel, Derick Hall, & Tbone. The tracks are so “hot” make sure the air is on when you tune in! Suga T performs with a band and you will see her performing show in a variety of venues. You will also see Suga-T in more movies and eventually a sitcom of her own as she broadens her horizon in entertainment. You can hear her on various radio shows nationally as well.

She is available to bring her empowering message to you in the form interviews, features, hosting, speaking engagements, and TV shows.
