Bio

Suicide is a Haitian-American Producer/Rapper born and raised in Harlem, NYC. His innate musical abilities continue to develop in the realms of his in-home studio. He names his beats “Suicidal Beats” stating, “My beats are so hot, everybody is ‘killing themselves’ to get one.” Suicide’s lyrics are armed with analogies, metaphors and similes. His Battle-Rap background allows him to captivate an audience within the first few sentences of a verse. He raps in both English and Creole; this ability separates him from other artists. He mixes the two languages creating the style he titled “Crenglish.” Though not the only to use this style, Suicide has definitely mastered it! His flow, his transitions, both so smooth and seamless you’d think its one language! You don’t have to speak either language to understand and be entertained by his music - It’s an experience. Let’s not forget Suicide’s stage presence; his vocal control, showmanship and energy deliver an exciting show every time – it’s contagious! He is the definition of a real Emcee.

As a former member of Negmaron, Suicide was the creative force behind the group which started in 2002. Negmaron was first composed of rappers Mike P. and Suicide. Int’l Freak, Singer/Song writer, later joined the team. The Hip Hop trio performed at numerous colleges in the NYC and Florida area. They have shared the stage with some of the most exclusive names in Hip Hop, including accomplished Hip Hop/R&B artist, Wyclef Jean of the Fugees. Other mentionable artists include, D.I.T.C.’s Lord Finesse, Heltah Skeltah, Saigon, and Maino. They’ve performed at popular venues such as, New York City’s B.B. Kings, Crash Mansion, Amazura and S.O.B.’s as well as Boston’s Matrix. Negmaron encountered much achievement within the underground circuit; nominated for two Underground Hip Hop Awards in 2006: "Best Rap Duo" and "Best Live Performance." They released three mix tapes: "Welcome 2 Haiti" (2002), "Next Generation" (2005) and "Raping Da Industry" (2007). They’ve also collaborated with many artists around the world. Within the Haitian community, Negmaron became a household name. They were set to release an original album early 2010, unfortunately, the group disbanded due to problematic on goings.

Suicide is now a solo artist ready to produce and rap a new chapter in his music career. Though disappointed by the group’s break up, he is excited to continue sharing his talents and creativity. He now introduces himself as, “Suicide-Producer/Rapper Extraordinaire,” and rightfully so. He is diligently working on his first solo album (entitled “Stereotyped”) and recently released four buzz worthy singles of different genres: “Wait 4 Da Bus,” “Make Up 2 Break Up,” “Rappaz,” and “Flag’em Up, Flag’em Down." Be on the look out for his upcoming projects. Suicide is sure to become a mainstream success!
