Suicide Shift

Playing top of the chart hits from the 70’s & 80’s, Suicide Shift recreates sounds from a wide variety of artists ranging from Areosmith to ZZ Top, and so much more in between. Suicide Shift has also written and recorded several original songs that compliment their sets as well. Suicide Shift has been a band for five years and has wooed the Valley and Foothills with their talent. Performing at many clubs such as the Fat Cat Music House and Lounge, opening for legendary guitarist Robin Trower, the Marshall Tucker Band and Tesla's Frank Hannon. In addition they have performed at special events such as, Ceres Street Faire, Riverbank Cheese & Wine Expo, Ripon Almond Blossom Festival, West Point Lumber Jack Days, Murphy’s Irish Days, Calaveras County Frog Jump, Motorcycle Club Events, Community Events and Private Parties.

Victor Clark of Ripon, CA. is the bands Lead Guitarist / Lead & Backing Vocals, with his funky soul underbelly, Victor drives his band with energy and pure talent. Victor has been playing the guitar for 30 years. His interest in music started when he was a young boy. He learned to play the piano and from that point on his interest in music grew wider. As a teenager he played at all the hot spots along Hollywood Boulevard and was the opening show for several top artists of the time. Jimmy Newell of Modesto, CA is Suicide Shift's Drummer & Backing Vocals. Jimmy has been playing the drums since he was eight years old. He started out in the kitchen banging on pots & pans while listening to the Monkeys. His mother finally surrendered and bought him his first set of drums. Jimmy’s enthusiasm, high energy and love for Rock & Roll is without saying contagious and leaves you wanting more, “ just give him a” “Yell Out”… “Drum Solo..” Jimmy has played in several well known area bands such as Bon Dead (AC/DC Tribute), Larger Than Life (Kiss Tribute), Wisdom (tribute to Led Zeppelin & Black Sabbath) just to name a few. He is now happy to be the drummer of this Classic Rock & Blues band. Myron Smallin, Suicide Shift's Bass Guitar / Lead & Backing Vocals create the trio of Suicide Shift. Myron is from Stockton, CA, originally from Newport Beach, CA. He has been playing music for the past 30 years; he began playing the trumpet in the third grade. Myron attended the Conservatory of Music at UOP and SJDC in Stockton. He has gone on two world tours with the Continental Singers and Orchestra. Myron's childhood dream was to learn to play the Bass Guitar in a rock band. In 1993 he began the study of playing the Bass Guitar. He joined a country band called Wildfire; he figured if he couldn't make it in a country band, he wouldn't make it at all. By 1997 Myron fulfilled his childhood dream. He was playing the Bass Guitar in a Rock Band. Since then Myron has played steadily in several Blues Myron came to Suicide Shift as a fill in and has been with the band ever since. He along with Victor Clark and Jimmy Newell have become one... Suicide Shift…….
