BandRockAvant-garde

Elegant melancholy that crawls under your skin in the most organic of ways, understanding that sometimes the best way to get someone's attention is with a whisper. Sets aren't snoozy or overly precious, but dynamics are integral and they are more than willing to explore all shades of sound.

Lonely Sleeping Giant

Written By: brad register

what did we wake?
a sleeping giant
with all the right words
stronger angry like me
weak minded men
feeding on children
something is not right
what did we learn?
all I need is you
youve got the air that I need to breathe
but its not you
youre not the one that I really need
why did we wait?
were we all sleeping?
didnt we notice
triangles and the snakes
now its too late
she has grown stronger
we have grown tired
what did we learn?

Strange Answers

Written By: brad register

a little pill to swallow
I aint mad at no one but myself
an empty room to sleep in
cos in the end its us, were all we got
a little lie to cover
the obviously boring old routine
a silent tramp whos jealous
that in the end its me and you and them
shes on the phone for hours
Im not listening now
Im switching up my answers
to a strange and awful sound
a little chance were offered
to break away and sing a song thats new
a change to beautiful from everyone
we thought knew right and wrong
dont get scared now
baby here I am
theyre vultures and life stealers
with fangs and feelers
our fair weather friends

Beware of False Prophets

Written By: brad register

we met up on dry land
the cold air was clean
the people were smiling
this wasn't a dream
we all were waiting
i didn't have answers
i brought nothing back
the poets and dancers
the scholars and slacks
we all were waiting
the two disbelievers
with hearts made of wood
their voices were loud
the spirit was good
and later that evening
no quietness came
and no one there
remembered my name
the students were brainless
to what they've been sold
so i feed them bullshit
i fed them fake gold
we all were waiting
they didn't want answers
i didn't wanna run
so i gave them two pills
i gave them all guns
we all were waiting
the two disbelievers
with hearts made of wood
their voices were loud
the spirit was good
and later that evening
no quietness came
and no one there
remembered my name
the two disbelievers
with voices strong and loud
they filled me with poison
and threw me to the crowd
and starving from fashion
they ripped me limb from limb
they feasted on my body
i was laughing at them
