The origin of music arguably dates as far as biblical days. It is difficult to find a single definition for what we deem to be music as its creation, delivery and significance varies according to culture and socialization. What is certain, that its existence is vital to many people of this world.

In 2006, after years of listening, promoting, celebrating, purchasing, supporting music of all genres and fraternity, a group of men with strong business sense, talent, keen interest, love and a distinct musical ear decided to literally ‘face the music’ by creating Summit Music Group Ltd. (SMG) in Jamaica. The current proprietors of this company are Damian Turner (Mr.) – President & C.E.O., Camara O.H. Nelson (Mr.) – Exec. V.P. of Corporate Business & Strategy and Cavelle Hacker (Mr.) – Exec. V.P. of A&R. Our past Exec. V.P. of Production, Gavin Evans (Mr.) was a vital member to the creation of this company and the music that has been produced. Summit Music Group (SMG) is a multifaceted organization, which is geared toward the production, promotion and publishing of music collection for artistes through our publishing subsidiary, GCCT Publishing. This publishing subsidiary is currently affiliated with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). In 2008, Summit Music Group (SMG) became a ‘Corporate Member’ of Jamaica Music Society (JAMMS), which is a pivotal organization within our music industry in Jamaica.

Summit Music Group Ltd. (SMG) has a strong management team which is committed to revolutionizing music management as we know it in Jamaica. With the knowledge garnered through extensive research on the music industry, along with a wealth of experience and advice by key persons in the music business, SMG is committed to providing management and equitable returns for all our partners and associates.

To date, the company has secured exclusive Artiste Management, Recording and Publishing Agreements with multi-talented and diversed group of artistes. The artistes within our organization have myriad of sounds from traditional R&B, Dancehall, Hip Hop and Reggae. The executive production team, which consists of Camara O.H. Nelson (Mr.), Damian Turner (Mr.) and the past Gavin Evans (Mr.) has successfully released two albums for Summit Music Group (SMG). These albums are Summit Music Group Presents Unknownz Muzic Productionz - Red Eye Riddim and Summit Music Group Presents Unknownz Muzic Productionz – Croakin’ Lizard Riddim, which are available for digital download on Itunes, Emusic, Napster, Rhapsody and Amazon.

In addition, Summit Music Group Ltd. (SMG) through our main music production subsidiary Unknownz Muzic Productionz, which is lead by the young and talented Producer & Mixing Engineer, Andrew Thomas (Mr.) is creating music that will be cherished for now and generations to come.
