"In Case You Hear This"

Sunday Buckets is a six piece, indie-rock/pop band...if in fact there is such a thing...from Victoria, B.C. Canada. Their sound can be described as The Barenaked Ladies and Counting Crows meets Third Eye Blind and The Clash...I guess. The fact is, it's difficult to really pin down the band as they have shown a great deal of diversity in their debut record, "In Case You Hear This."

The band formed in late 2005 when the Penny Brothers, Jarrett guitar/vocals and Kale vocals/guitar, began jamming with friends Chris Taylor bass and Spencer Moyes drums. Early set lists included: previously written Penny Brother originals, classic rock tunes and Jack Johnson covers.

In April 2006, Eric Frazer vocals/guitar joined the band after being released... from his previous project and, alongside Kale, provided a versatile second lead vocal. With Eric on board, Sunday Buckets began to hone their eclectic, indie rock/pop style. As a quintet, the band began writing original songs. Venues changed from friends' backyard parties to such local hot spots as Steamer's Pub, Lucky Bar, Sugar Nightclub, Evolution Nightclub and Element, venues where they gained a strong following and continue to play. Sunday Buckets have also been featured at such high-profile events as the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival, the Canadian Junior Hockey Championship and the BMX World Championship.

In early 2008, the band acquired keyboardist Nick McRae, completing the six-piece ensemble and giving them the sound they are becoming famous for. This occurred just in time for the recording of their debut album, "In Case You Hear This", which was recorded and mixed in Victoria at Audio Garage Studios in late 2008 with producer Matthew James. On July 3rd 2009, the band released the album to a sold-out crowd at Sugar Nightclub.

Sunday Buckets has also been featured at such high-profile events as the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival, the Canadian Junior Hockey Championship and the World BMX Championship. Add to that their successful shot as 'Band of the Month' for Victoria’s Zone FM; complete with airplay; live in-studio interviews and un-plugged performances.

Though their debut album was released only recently, the Buckets are itching to return to the studio with a strong arsenal of new tracks ready to go. Their yet un-named sophomore album is expected in early 2010.
