Biography

Out of all the trends of today's vast music world, Sunday Slacks is a band that won't soon be forgotten. Rapidly gaining a reputation for its unique sound, this Las Vegas quartet continually impresses audiences and has emerged as one of the premiere bands in the area. Influenced by styles such as jazz, funk, pop and rock; it doesn't take long before listeners are enamored by the particular tone the group is able to create. “Alluring melodies, captivating music, thoughtful dynamics and emotional lyrics help create the rich vibe for which the band is becoming known.”

Formed in 2004, Sunday Slacks burst onto the local music scene and within only a few months, they had already opened for Epic recording artist Val Emmich and received radio air-play on KOMP 92.3. National attention was soon to follow with their appearance on Fuse TV's 'Amplified Guide to Las Vegas.' Several radio stations around the country now have tracks from the band’s first independently released EP, ‘Falling for Nothing,’ in regular rotation.

Lyrics

At Last

Written By: Brandon DuVall

Out of nowhere
She appeared and I
Was just beside myself
Nice to see you
Why has it been so long?
I do regret this

Stay and relax a while
Yeah, we could share our lives
For a few moments
Laugh at all of the madness
She then pulled her hair back and sighed
Could have died right there just watching her

At last melancholy prevails
She says as she walks off again

Holding your ground
I've already played mine
Oh, don't forget
This is nothing new
My attempts have not failed me quite yet
But I think they might soon

So, here I go
Walking into
What could be another ploy
In the endless roundabout
Does the situation permit something
Else from this
Or am I on the way out?

At last melancholy prevails
She says as she walks off again

Beyond anything I'm told
This one spins out of control
Don't know if she'll ever
Stop and think of me

At last melancholy prevails
She says as she walks off again

Sometime

Written By: Brandon DuVall

She makes me
Turn around inside out of my mind
She takes me
And lays me down in her hands feeling fine

I'm tongue tied
Still she stays a little while
It will be her and I
Sometime

She brings me
Way up over the sky climbing high
She frees me
With one look from those eyes every time

I'm tongue tied
Still she stays a little while
It will be her and I
Sometime

Love won't run away
Because we can take our time
And if she wants to come over
I will be here waiting

We'll open up
Sometime
We'll fall in love
Sometime

I'm tongue tied
Still she stays a little while
It will be her and I
Sometime
