Bio
Sunday Sunglasses is a unique band founded in the small town of Campbellsport, Wisconsin. A group of high school friends, Dick Walsh (vocals, guitar, bass & keys), Cliff Rettler (vocals, guitar, bass & keys) and Jon Stoffel (drums) started writing music. In 2006, they established themselves as Sunday Sunglasses. In 2007, they encountered lead guitarist Michael Phillips and added him to the group. A diverse mix of musicians with strong musical backgrounds, their music has been compared to that of Dr. Hook, The Rolling Stones and early Pink Floyd. Younger followers have also compared them to Modest Mouse and Built to Spill. In 2009, a bongo player and good friend, Sean Grohall, joined the group to add a percussive twist, expanding the sound to become what it is today. The listener can enjoy an experience like no other, a blend of story telling combined with soothing upbeat grooves. Writing inspirational songs dealing with the complexities of everyday living, Sunday Sunglasses transcends the barriers of genre, reaching audiences from ages 15 to 50 . Their music leaves the listener humming melodies and wanting more. The group strives to produce creative original music while captivating their audience.
