Sun from Shadow

Sun from Shadow

BandRockPop

A refreshing taste of indie pop rock backed up by energetic personalities and outstanding musicianship.

Biography

Coming from 4 years of playing together on and off stage, Sun from Shadow was formed in 2006 with eagerness to write great songs and also the ability to bring those songs to life when playing live.

After almost 2 years of playing shows as well as refining, changing, and reworking their songs, Sun from Shadow released their debut EP entitled "Giants and Orphans" in May of 2008. Still an independent band, their music has made it onto places like iTunes, Amazon, and Bandfarm: home to many top rock artists today.

Now with three of the members attending college, they are writing and demoing songs for their new album and playing them live to further perfect them. With so many different influences, their next album is sure to surprise fans of "Giants and Orphans". We'll just have to wait and see.

Lyrics

Your Broken Bones

Written By: Carson Leith

You are tired
Let me fix your broken bones
Fall apart whenever you want
I will piece you back together

You're skipping words
with syntax like a left turn
Walking like an explosion
Creating such an illusion
You'll never stop if there's still breath in your lungs
You're tearing at the seams

You are tired
Let me fix your broken bones
Fall apart whenever you want
I will piece you back together

I heard your thoughts in scattered time signatures
Composed on broken white lines
So stark against the asphalt, you're hiding nothing
It's ok you're safe

You are tired
Let me fix your broken bones
Fall apart whenever you want
I will piece you back together

I will piece you back together

Fall apart
I will piece you back together

Dark House

Written By: Carson Leith

Sleep all day, rise at night
Your conscience by your side
Will you follow? Or die with no soul?
Will you follow? Or live on your own?

In the dark house, you hide from yourself
In your hard life, you weep all night

Windows closed to the outside world
Stand inside as your life unfolds
All you have is all your words
Cries for comfort that nobody heard

In the dark house you hide from yourself
In your hard life you weep all night
In the dark house, the dark house

Open up, save yourself, walk right out, begin to melt

In the dark house you hide from yourself
In your hard life you weep all night
In the dark house

The Pourdown

Written By: Carson Leith, Hayden Coplen, Jason Leith

In such a rush to fall, fall down
Spectrums spin, I’m with you dancing
Coming back to find the ground

Streetlights spark ignitions under you
Shining on the tired asphalt now
The pourdown, the pourdown

Destroy what took so long to grow
Just wash me away with the dirt
You insist this traffic stops
Rhythms beat down on my hood

Streetlights spark ignitions under you
Shining on the tired asphalt now
The pourdown, the pourdown

In such a rush to fall, fall down
