Sunset District, hailing from Prince George’s County Brentwood, Maryland are the creators of Hip-Pop music! Hip-Pop music is a blend of hip-hop lyrics over pop beats, which create a positive atmosphere that allows people to enjoy themselves and have a great time. Growing up in Brentwood, there was a lot of temptation to do wrong and be sucked into the streets. However, Ambition and Zues maintained a positive outlook and used their music as an escape from the harsh influences of the neighborhood. In Brentwood Blacks stuck with Blacks and Hispanics followed suit, but being from two different cultures never held these two back. Ambition comes from an African-American and Caribbean background, and Zues from El Salvador. By uniting with each other to form Sunset District they would be able to further push the racial boundaries on a worldwide level, and show everyone that anything is possible. Since 2009 the duo have performed at several venues including Howard University Homecoming, Joes Emporium, Brentwood Day, Port Towns Day, The Mexican Independence Day Festival and the list goes on. Get ready to dance, get ready to have fun because Sunset District is just getting started.
