Biography

Forged from 3 remnant members of local success Burning Down Brooklyn, Sunsets and Skylines has emerged on to the scene with their self-written, self-produced blend of melodic, aggressive rock. Having been compared to early Emery and Underoath, the band puts every ounce of their passion for life and people into their stunning live performances and solid recordings. Within two months of their formation, they already have opened in support of major label act Fireflight, generating a large local buzz as well as media attention. They have also shared the stage with successful Oregon bands Broadway Calls and The Roe.
In 2006, their former band, Burning Down Brooklyn recorded their self titled debut E.P. engineered by Kris Krummet (Devil Wears Prada, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Fear Before). The band developed a strong local fan base and had the opportunity to play with several notable bands including Showbread (Tooth and Nail), Oceana (Rise Records), Take The Crown (Rise Records) and After Edmund (Slanted Records) as well as playing TomFest with artists like MxPx and Telecast.
After bassist Archie Heald left the band on good terms, former members Ben Allen and Luke Sugrue joined forces with friend John McCumsey and began writing material. After a couple of months, they recruited former Burning Down Brooklyn guitarist Bryant Edwards and brought him into the band. Sunsets and Skylines was born.
The band has high hopes for 2009 as they write and prepare for a summer tour and a much anticipated full length release. Keep your eyes and ears open for Sunsets and Skylines in 2009.
