Sunset to Burns

Sunset to Burns

Sunset to Burns is a Folk Rock band from Bolivar, MO that draws heavy influence from bands like Mumford & Sons and The Avett Brothers. With catchy melodies, lyrics that strike the heart, and a foot stomping rhythm, Sunset to Burns is sure to entertain.

Sunset to Burns began as an acoustic duo with Lucas Roberts and Joel Farr in the Summer of 2011 that played small gigs in local restaurants. After collaborating with their friends Kaleb Treacy (drums), and Kenson Ashton (banjo), the duo became a full band that drew influence from modern Folk Rock bands. After recording their single Call My Name, the band played the Waka Winter Classic in Springfield, MO. While the band came in 2nd and didn't get the chance to play Wakarusa, they were invited to play Yonder Mountain String Band's Harvest Festival in the fall of 2012. Before the festival, the band recruited Jeff Johnson (Stand-up Bass). The 5-Piece now plays local shows and the occasional festival.
