Bio
SuperFire is a Seattle-based Rap duo formed in 2009 by local emcees/musicians Phil Harmonic and Elan Wright. Phil Harmonic has been heard featured on the track “Spliff” by Sol, and has performed with many local artists including Blue Scholars, Grynch, Macklemore, Scribes, Sol, and Dyno Jamz. Elan Wright is the guitarist of the band Danger Radio (Photo Finish/Atlantic) and spent 2006-2009 touring North America and the UK. He has performed with artists including Gym Class Heroes, Plain White T’s, Hot Hot Heat, Metro Station, and The Maine.
Together, this group combines classic soulful sound with a modern presentation; paying homage to the roots of hip-hop while remaining conscious of popular music trends. Live instruments are included throughout, and Wright is known to perform while playing electric guitar (sometimes through a talk box). Their high-energy live performance includes beat-boxing jam sessions, and both artists sing and rap.
