Bio

It’s said that every 20 years, history repeats itself. By following in the footsteps of other native Boston super groups such as New Kids on the Block, New Edition and Aerosmith, Supergroup XL emerges to capture the hearts and minds of millions around the world. With their super unique sound backed by their musical authenticity, the platform for their phenomenal artistry was created.
Although age ranges from only 20-22, these 4 young prodigies have been mastering their craft for the past 15 years. Signing their first major deal with Salem Entertainment/Elektra records in 2001 as Code 5, they released their first single produced by DJ Clue and Duro titled “What’s ur name Girl. During the deal with Elektra they worked with the likes of Missy Elliot, Timbaland and Full Force. After the untimely death of the “man of steel Steve Salem, CEO of Salem Entertainment, the Code 5 project was unfortunately left in limbo and lead to the severance of ties with Elektra Records.
Instead of folding in the face of adversity, the 4 young men who were once Code 5, evolved into XL. During this time period XL teamed up with well known DJ Clinton Sparks and released an underground smash titled “Hate Yourself. Shortly after releasing the record, it began getting regular daytime spins and catching major heat on the mix tape and internet markets. The growing movement of XL’s music spread, gaining popularity and a growing fan base in the states and overseas.
Realizing the impact of their music in the market place, XL came full circle with their musical abilities. With over a decade of growth and devolvement, XL naturally gained a superior understanding of the music business. Taking full creative control of their careers, they began producing, writing and arranging all of their music. From this point, they created their production and songwriting company Mad Band Music Group. The “Mad in Mad Band Music Group is actually an acronym for “motivation, ambition, and dedication, which they use as their vehicle to success.
With all aspects of XL’s artistry and abilities considered. Mad Band Music Group presents to the world….
