Bio

October 29th 2010 saw Limerick, Ireland based power-popsters Supermodel Twins release their eagerly-anticipated album 'Raincloud Free'. Produced by Cranberries guitarist Noel Hogan, the quintet's debut brims with perfect three-minute pop songs that combine intelligent lyrics about love, lust and loneliness with infectious melodies, sinful harmonies and dramatic guitar crescendos delivered in a Beatles-like swagger. Released on Hogan's own Gohan label, 'Raincloud Free' is a blistering pop gem that lives up to its sun-kissed moniker.

Influenced by the likes of Weezer, Nada Surf and Jimmy Eat World, Supermodel Twins' sound brims with moments of wry genius that owes more to the genuine pop masterworks of The Beach Boys and Elvis Costello and the Attractions than their modern day imitators.

In 2008, the band started recording their debut album with Cranberries axe-man Noel Hogan at the helm. Now, almost two years later, they have emerged with their first full-length release. So far the band has released two of the tracks to the public, both of which have received extensive treatment on national radio. The first single, 'Bruises' released back in March '10, made 'Single of the Week' on Rick O'Shea's lunchtime show. The second single, 'One Step Behind', also hit the airwaves with a bang in July '10, and was described by Hot Press as being "one step ahead of the rest".

Recent shows have included sell outs for the IMRO Showcase Tour 2010 and The Hot Press/Jagermeister Freezer Sessions, as well as playing to a 20,000 strong crowd at their local Thomond Park, Limerick with The Cranberries.
