SuperState first came together in Bailieborough, Co. Cavan with a line up that included Daire O'Reilly on lead vocals and guitar, Shane Dillon on rhythm guitar and Steve Mullen on Drums to play a support slot in Crawdaddy, Dublin. Following this successful showcase the band was then joined by Cathal O'Reilly on Bass guitar and Ciaran Cronin on keyboards. The synergy produced from this fusion of musical talent culminates in the debut E.P 'When the Guilty Panic', produced by renowned producer Karl Odlum.
With influences ranging from the Foo Fighters and Thin Lizzy to Rory Gallagher and The Who, lyricist Daire O'Reilly pens songs that resonate the melodic sounds of contemporary rock such as 'All in your Head' aswell as breezier tunes of the likes of 'Summertime'.
Playing popular venues Eamon Dorans of Dublin aswell as headlining 'The Stables' in Mullingar, SuperState most recently played with 'The Aftermath' at the Button Factory in Temple Bar and the Cavan Summer Festivals wrap party in its own Spiegeltent. Replacing Ciaran Cronin on keyboards, the talented Dave McCarthy brings a new dimension to the sound of SuperState.
With the official launch of 'When the Guilty Panic' in late Autumn, SuperState are looking forward to bigger things ahead.
