Bio
Surfacer is an alternative-pop band created by Portland area multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Jake Bassen. Following a year-long pursuit for the right sound and lineup fitting the band's vision, Surfacer took shape in 2017 and Bassen, Unlayao, and Ja’el began writing and shaping tracks towards their forthcoming debut album. The band's sound takes an admiration for modern pop sensibilities and blends it with a fun yet honest edge reminiscent of the mid 2000s pop-punk era. Surfacer released their first single "Playing Hearts" in July 2018, available on most major online music platforms. The band is currently booking shows to expand their fanbase and will be entering the studio to record their debut album in late 2018.
