Susan Harrison

Susan has been singing ever since the day her Aunt Florence's dog, Buddy confirmed her ability when he joined her in song under the dining room table. Her first guitar was a ruler with rubber bands. She attended her first music festival, Woodstock at an early age and continues to seek out inspirational opportunities. Her styles fuse, blues, jazz, rock and folk into an adult alternative sound. Even her music for young kids takes you in the musical direction, called for by the song. She's performed in many bands "Tumbling Dice", "The Recyclettes", "Bluesy Suzy", "Sassafras", "Evolver" and "PALamazoo". Susan is a versatile performer who performs for audiences cradle to grave. As a Wolf Trap Institute artist she combines the arts to engage youngsters on their level. She coordinates a local songwriting group (NSAI) sharing her talents and performs often for Seniors and Hospice. Music has such healing powers, but life is about the bitter and the sweet so she explores the dark corners of life and the view from the top of the ferris wheel. Thought provoking and playful.
