Bio

Susan is a blind singer songwriter based near Liverpool England who plays keyboards, guitar, piano and mandolin and who has been performing since she was six.

Among Susan’s awards are;
• Merseyside BT Woman of the Year Award ‘Best Newcomer’ and placed 3rd in main category.
• BBC Radio Merseyside Best Vocalist Award
• Dada Fest’s ‘Young Performer’ from North West Arts Forum.
• Susan was voted ‘The Act Most Likely to Succeed’ at The International Pop Overthrow Festival, Liverpool, 3 years running and ‘The act most people wanted to see there again next year.’ Her song ‘River City Girl’ came 4th in the survey and 3 of her other songs featured in the Top 20.

Title of the film ‘I Ain’t Looking for Your Sympathy’ is a line from her autobiographical song ‘The Fighting Kind’

2. Vocals on adverts include, Carpet World, Diamond Car Insurance, Esure and Delta Airlines which was broadcast internationally on satellite TV and on radio.

3. Susan’s 3rd solo album ‘Faces Without Names’ was launched at the IPO Festival in Greenwich Village New York and received great critical acclaim from national press, e.g. Rock & Reel

Susan is a patron of 2 charities
‘The Jellybean Appeal’ for sick children at Arrowe Park hospital. Wirral, and ‘Attitude is Everything’ a national charity based in London to promote access for disabled people to music venues and festivals. She is also an active supporter of Sahir House, a local aids charity and works closely with ‘AimHigher’ and SKILLS encouraging young people into higher education.
