Biography

If you can dream it
You can make it happen!!
If you try and fail
At least you tried, it's more than most will do!!

My daddy was a singer, his motto was "KEEP THE WHOLE WORLD SINGING"

I started writing around the age of 8 to express what I couldn't say to adults. I knew one day I would write songs & sing, I just wasn't quite sure how or when it would happen. Now the words and melodies flow through me as quick as the flood that blasted me out of my home in 2007.

I submitted my first song lyric to a contest in 2009 and was chosen as a top five finalist. I was listed as an honorable mention and in 2010 was chosen as suggested artist. I also made semifinalist status in the 2011 songwriting competition.

Life, as it tends to do, took me on some very interesting and bumpy adventures. But as I say, Our lives are not for punishment or glory, it's so in the end we all have a story. Mine I tell through my songs. Without the good, bad & indifferent times in my life, my songs would not tell the story of my journey. After many strange and tragic events in 2007, I picked up a pen and I haven't put it down. In 2008 I decided, maybe these could be songs, but if i'm serious about this i'll have to put music to them, so i bought a guitar. I took two guitar lessons and thought, damn this is hard and it hurts like hell, but i'm not one to give up on a dream so i keep plugging away. I plan on one day winning a grammy for my songwriting. I believe God has put this music in my life for a reason so I'm going for the gold.

What sets me apart from other artists is all my songs are different. I'm constantly asked when I have friends listen to my rough demo, who's singing this song, I giggle and tell them I sing them all as well as do my own harmonizing, the advantage to growing up with a barbershop quartet in my family. I guess to them my voice sounds different in every song, to me I sound the same.

I figure with the music that flows thru me this must be one of my destiny's. Now if I can find a financial backer to help me get my music out to the world my dreams will be fulfilled !!!!!!!!

The Soldier

Written By: Susan Marie Krabisch

THE SOLDIER

Verse 1
Voices are coming in clearer now I can hear what they say
No long walking this road alone, at least not for today
Will this be the town that will welcome me home
Or will I be a Soldier, wondering the open road

Verse 2
I’ve seen so much hate out there, down the open road
A war that took away my friends, now I’m all alone
Wondering from town to town down the open road
I’m a Soldier that fought for your peace
But now I’m all alone

Chorus
I’m the Soldier who fought for you and your right to be free
Why did everybody, turn their back on me
Have you all forgotten, if not for the people like me
Our country would be in turmoil and we would not be free

Verse 3
No family left when I returned a war that all forgot
I’m the soldier who went to war
Kept you free fought for your rights
Now I have returned back here all heads they turn away
Acting like I’m the solider that started all this hate

Verse 4
Will this be the town that will welcome me home
Or will I be a soldier wondering down the road
I fought so hard for your rights and the roof over your head
God brought me back here for a reason
As all my friends are dead

Verse 5
A girl looks up and lends a smile across her freckled cheeks
Then her mom comes to her side and extends her hand to me
She said Soldier boy come with me and my freckled friend
A roof we’ll put over your head won’t you please come in Pause
As tears start to hit my cheek, the words rang in my head
I finally found a place to call home no more wondering for me

Chorus
I’m the Soldier who fought for you and your right to be free
Why did everybody, turn their back on me
Have you all forgotten, if not for the people like me
Our country would be in turmoil and we would not be free

When A Child Say's Goodbye

Written By: Susan Marie Krabisch

I'm full yet I feel empty
From this quiet solitude
I'm not sure when I got here
I wish I remembered how

How so many years have passed by
Since I held you in my arms
A Mother's secret misery
Is when a child say's goodbye

Why do children bless us
With their sweet memories
If their only gonna get up & leave us
And start their only families

Or tragedy it does take them
Long before their time
A Mother's secret misery
Is when a child say's goodbye

Just one more second, one more minute
Just one more day is what we wish & pray
We feel the ache, when our hearts break
When a child goes away
Only a Mother knows the pain
When a child goes away

Sometimes I feel I've been sleeping
Through the last 20yrs of my life
Yesterday they were little
Now they've grown up right before our eyes

But I know that I am not sleeping
Cause the memories are close to my heart
A Mother's secret misery
Is when a child say's goodbye

I'm full yet I feel empty
From this quiet solitude
I'm not sure when I got here
I wish I remembered how

How so many years have passed by
Since I held you in my arms
A Mother's secret misery
Is when a child say's goodbye
