Susan Steen is a singer/songwriter from Philadelphia. Previously she was the bass player for the local band Outset, who achieved public acclaim and won the WSTW 2006 Hometown Heroes Awards for Best Song, Album of the Year, and Best Band of 2006. Susan also won the 2007 WSTW Hometown Heroes Award for Best Bass Player.
In February of 2008, Susan felt it was time to focus on her original music and songwriting. She left Outset to immediately start performing and recording her debut CD "Start Again" which became available in November 2008. In May of 2009 Susan became the new bassist for the popular Philadelphia based rock band IKE.
Her influences, which include Simon and Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell, and Dashboard Confessional, can easily be heard in the music she creates while still creating a sound that is unique and original.
