Bio

SUSPICION is something everyone has...SUSPICION is something that everyone has been under...SUSPICION is something that someone has when they don't know for sure who, what, where or why.................
Suspicion, the brainchild of Mike Stahl (vocals, guitar), along with members Dan Shrum (bass, vocals) and Mark Johnson(drums) out of Rocklin, California, has 12 years of experience playing, writing, and producing music with energy AND depth, that shows with every note.

Suspicion's powerful music varies from melodic and moving, all the way to hard edged, energetic rock. Merging influences from almost every form of music, Suspicion has the ability to pull in the listener, and either make them contemplate life, or make them dance. The soulful ballad, "Could I Ever Say", speaks with words of lost love and regret. The purely rhythmic, "Inside" boasts the nature of the detrimental forces within.

Suspicion puts on quite a show. The name "Suspicion" has graced the playbills of various Northern California clubs, bars and concert halls. Opening for acts such as: Brother Cane, Arcade, Ian Moore, and The Tea Party has taught these guys the professional approach to stage work. No matter where or when, expect to be moved by the live performance of Suspicion.

Suspicion is multimedia. Catching on early that the Internet was a worthy medium for promoting music and building a fan base, the Suspicion web site (http://suspicion.com) was developed. The site is receiving more than 1200 visitors per month with a mailing list of over 3000 interested fans that want to buy the band's music.

Suspicion's debut album, "Premiere", featured the single, "Walk 'n' Talk", which received airplay on 98Rock KRXQ in Sacramento and KVMR in Nevada City.

Suspicion has recently completed recording a new collection of songs, which will be released in summer 2001. The new album holds to the running theme of mystery that the name Suspicion inspires. The variety that has become a trademark of Suspicion has again emerged but with a more melodic and emotional drive that supercedes their previous effort.

What's inside? Each of us asks this question of ourselves, of others, of the great mystery that is life itself. For each of us there is something new and secret hiding within. This band and their music explore that space.
