Discography

ALL THAT REMAINS EP: The debut 4-track EP recorded over 5 months in 2007. Written, co-produced, and released by the band themselves.

Further notes on track 4 (Bravado):
This track untied the band with a live string quartet. Strings were composed for the track by chair-person ( and good friend) of the Glasgow Chamber Orchestra, Ruth Campbell. The track also features the heavenly guest vocals of another close friend of the band, Gemma McGinlay.

Bio

SUSPIRE are from Glasgow, Scotland. They combine elements of seemingly an endless array of influences that liken them to Echo & the Bunnymen, Tears For Fears and Coldplay. Perhaps a touch of Oasis blended with The Police and a small modern dose of The National. Expect warm layers of sound with exciting hooks and uplifting harmonies. This is SUSPIRE's own brand of modern-rock, with melodic sensibilities.

The four members of SUSPIRE feel strongly connected to each other - through the music, and through their long-lasting friendship. It is the inevitable core of the music they create.

Film is also of great interest to the band. By chance, (or not) SUSPIRE met an independent Glasgow film director: Mark Moore. Now, the band are writing music for his short film, Boundary Charge. .
Paul Duffin (SUSPIRE) has completed music that will feature in the opening sequence, as well as a track for the closing credits. The band will write and co-produce more music when all scenes are fully edited by Reel Reign films.

As well as this project, SUSPIRE are set to re-record 'Nebula', with Ian Thomson (Yamaha). Drums will be recorded at Chris Hely's excellent Yip-Jump studio in Glasgow; with other parts being recorded in Ian's own studio.

Mini-tour of California: AUG 2008
The band are currently saving lots (and lots and lots) of much needed pennies to embark upon a tour of California next year - namely San Francisco and L.A. All help & advice about playing and/or supporting bands over there are welcome.

Thanks ever so much for reading.
