Suzen's Garden

Loud, emotional, honest... Suzen's Garden has a new CD out:  STRONGER! It's the first half of a double album, with the 2nd half coming out at the end of the year. STRONGER! appears two years after debut album "12 Colors", and shows a continued growth both in style and in expression. This interesting, headstrong mix of rock and pop, with a progressive side coming more and more to the forefront, has become the hallmark of this five-person German band, started in 2009 by Susanne "Suzen" Berlin and guitarist Peter Schmidt.

Imagine mixing up a music cocktail... you take for instance some Coldplay and some Radiohead and mix them well with Chevelle and U2. Then, you add a bit of Steven Wilson and a pinch of Muse, and shake well. On top of that, you layer Suzen's voice: sometimes a strong whiskey, sometimes a fine Champagne, but always that unique ingredient that you can't find anywhere else. Then, round it all off with multi-layered arrangements highlighting ethereal guitars and solos with hints of Pink Floyd's David Gilmour... pour all of this into12 cylinders of fiery 80's synthesizers, turn up the volume all the way, and your Suzen's Garden is ready to go.
