For this rising star section of our website, I am going to share about one artist from another country. Yes, this performer is from Boston!

I got to know about her work with the help of a video shared on Facebook by one of my FB friends. That video was of a song Paint The Town Red sang by her. Of course, many of us will love this song for good lyrics and good music. But, I got stuck on that voice which was clearly indicating that this is a rising star, a rising star which has superb artistic potential as a performer, magical voice quality as a singer and of course, gorgeous looks like a show stopper of a fashion show.

Friends! Her name is Suzie Hatton!!

Let me tell you more about this rising star! This girl truly loves four things – Life full of music, spending time with pets, good time with her mother and party time with her friends!

As I just told you that her first love is music then I must write about her band. Suzie’s band is jam packed with A-List musicians. Suzie Hatton and her band have taken the Boston scene by storm with their new hit song Paint the Town! This rising star’s song Paint The Town Red has been played on Indie Scene Radio and Boston Rock Radio. Her song has also been played on 94 HJY In Rhode Island, and on 20th June, she was interviewed on 91.5 WFMO. Suzie is having a quite busy schedule of performances in coming two months. In a facebook post, Suzie shared that she believes in this theory to live a happy life:

Remember, you are exactly where you are meant to be. Keep believing in yourself, keep your eyes focused on your prize, and always keep your dreams in the front of your mind. Be your own biggest fan, and encourage yourself to get it done. Then, in the end when you WIN, you can celebrate and give yourself the biggest pat on the back! No one will ever dim my light. It shines brighter every day as I know I am getting closer to my dream…

Her second interest is in pets. When I talk about her love for pets then I need to talk about Roxie. About Roxie, she told me that getting her little dog four years ago was the BEST decision of her life. At the time, Suzie was going through rough times personally, and through a suggestion of a friend, she should pursue getting a dog. When she went to the breeder to pick out a dog, she didn’t have to look very hard for Roxie picked her! It was love at first bark, and they have been inseparable ever since. Their bond is so great that Suzie dedicated one of her songs to her little dog, a song called Roxie!

About arranging time for her mother and dear friends, she told me that family and friends are THE most important component, and influence, on her life. Her mother has been her rock, her confidant, and her voice of reason in times of trouble. Her sister means the world to her, and she rarely makes any major decisions without the consultation of her sister. She has very many good friends who are always there for her. In fact, five of her very best friends traveled over 45 minutes each to join in on her first radio interview on June 20th.

When I asked her about importance of music in her life, she replied “Music IS my life, and it always has always been”. Since performing the leading role of Peggy Sawyer in my high school senior play I knew that singing, and performing, was something in my soul. When I sing, and I am on stage, all of my thoughts, worries, and anxieties melt away and a fire is ignited within my soul. Singing my drug! Watching people enjoy my performances, my singing, and being positively affected by my vibes brings a joy to my world that nothing else can touch.

Aside of working with her band on new projects, Suzie would like to share some techniques of song creation with the young aspiring artists of the world. “I sing out a melody, or over my voice recording a capella and play some chords, either on keyboard or guitar for Gino, he writes his part and then the magic happens.” No doubt the band is dedicated to those that Suzie says, “...have the melody stuck in their head and want to express the music from within.”
