Bio

A native of Toronto Canada, Suzie McNeil was born into a musical family. She was practically raised singing with her mother and sister, learning to collaborate from a very early age.
From that foundation, Suzie evolved into a versatile, powerful artist, who combines a magnetic stage presence with vocal and multi-instrumental (piano, guitar, harmonica) ability.

Throughout the years she has compiled an impressive record of musical accomplishments. Suzie is a musical Jack-of-all-trades. These have ranged from live shows beside some of North America's top acts (Alan Frew, Ronnie Hawkins, Jeff Healey, Dave Navarro, P!nk, INXS) to consummate professionalism tracking in the studio (Nick Lachey, Jesse McCartney, Matt Nathanson, Foreigner) to commercial jingles (Marineland, Ontario), to performing in front of crowds of up to 200,000 people.
At the end of summer 2005, Suzie was the last woman standing on CBS television's reality series Rockstar:INXS.
She is featured singing duets on INXS’ 2005 release “SWITCH”, American Idol finalist Clay Aiken’s fall release; “A Thousand Different Ways”.
At the end of July 2006, Suzie finished singing back-up vocals for P!nk on her North American tour.
In December 2006 Suzie was honored to be able to entertain the troops in Afghanistan on an army tour.
In January 2007 Suzie starred in the Toronto Debut of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” musical as the role of “Oz”.
In November 2007 Suzie finished a Canadian tour with musician David Usher.
Suzie has never lost her attraction to creating original material. In the past, she has collaborated on projects with fellow Canadian songwriters, and released her debut album in April 2007 “Broken & Beautiful” she recorded with a-list producer Marti Frederiksen which feature the Top-20 National hits: “Hung Up” and “Believe”.
Suzie’s song Believe has been featured on network TV series including “The Biggest Loser”, “Beauty & The Geek”, “The Hills”, and “Oprah Winfrey’s The Big Give”. Believe has also been featured in Toronto’s theatre, as well as having been chosen by Bell Canada to be the official 2010 Olympic Inspired song and video. www.bell.ca/believe.
Suzie was nominated for a 2008 “Best New Artist” JUNO award.
Suzie is a featured judge on YTV’s search for the next teen singing-sensation: “The Next Star”, and has just released her sophomore album “Rock-n-Roller” in November 2008 through Universal Music.
