Bio
The short story:
Age 3: Cassette Tapes document me singing songs with my grandma in Russian. Compulsively made up nonsense songs soon after.
Age 11: Figured out what a poor mans copyright was. Lots of crap that no one would ever want to steal is still in those sealed envelopes.
Age 17: Wrote a pop song
Age 18: Forgot about the pop song
Age 20: Had a disastrous relationship and turned to songwriting for theraputic purposes.
Age 22: Remembered that Pop Song and started calling myself a songwriter.
It comes down to this: Despite all 22 years of my life spent dabbling in the arts, it took me only 6 months as a paralegal working in an anti-trust litigation firm to realize that I should be pursuing songwriting as a career because unlike being a paralegal, I love songwriting.
Nowadays, I use my paralegal day job to work on furthering my career as a songwriter and avoid logging data into excel spreadsheets like it's the plague.
In the shortest way possible, I would describe myself as a fun, spunky, excited, energetic, talkative, thoughtful, outgoing, and friendly person.
My songs range in their styles, but usually have some kind of pop element to them (pop-rock, indie-pop, adult-contemporary, etc), making them (I think and some would agree) radio friendly, and easily accessible.
This is what I intend to do as a career, so wish me luck!
