Suzanne Carrington, lead singer for the rock/pop band Suzy Q & The Crew is fast becoming one of the newest up and coming stars in the New Jersey area. She and her band are taking the Jersey shore as well as venues in Pennsylvania and New York by storm.
We asked Suzanne to share alittle bit about her new debut CD, Enough Love.
"The CD was recorded at Black Potato Studio in Clinton, NJ. The CD was recoreded in 10 days with only about 68 hours of recording time- which is nothing! The band and the production staff are just miracle makers! The CD is so good - something I am really proud of".
I see that you wrote and arranged all of the songs?
"Yes, all of the songs came into being within a year. I had never written songs. I wrote poems, inspirational booklets but never wrote songs even though I have been singing almost all my life".
How do you write? Do the words come first or the music?
"Alot of the songs come from an intimate place inside - others come from a thought or image I have and then I create a story out of it.
Usually, I will be playing the guitar and a melody will come and then as I develop the melody, words come & I begin to build".

Since forming in 2004, Suzy Q & The Crew, a New Jersey based female fronted rock/pop band has gained unanimous critical acclaim as one of the most exciting live performances around.
