Prince Michael Brown (born in Montreal on April 5th), known by his stage moniker Swagg Star, is a Canadian rapper and skateboarder from Vancouver, British Columbia. Swagg Star exudes an eclipsing charisma that attracts fans the world over proven by is growing Internet following. His rap delivery can be described as a melting pot of aggression, pain, ambition and hunger. One thing is certain Swagg is passionate about his music. Recently he signed a recording deal with rising Vancouver label, Flight Academy Records. They are preparing to release is first single My Life produced by Dispersed Collective (California). Swagg and his label are currently seeking grants to shoot a professional music video for the single. The usually playful and flamboyant rapper delivers a heartfelt account of his unique journey through life.

Swagg Star endured an itinerant childhood living throughout North American cities with his record executive mother. Understanding and learning what a commitment was from his humble beginnings Swagg Star started skateboarding in Compton, California on an old-school board with blue fat wheels. Skateboarding started out as a hobby that later on grew into a passion. Incorporating music in his daily lifestyle as an outlet to release the injustices he sometimes faced, he began writing his lyrics while soaking up a great deal of knowledge from his globetrotting experiences. With a predetermined entrepreneurial spirit he decided to focus on his talents and alter them into his business and brand.

Swagg contracted a rare, nearly fatal lung virus in 2004 that nearly ended his dream.  Overcoming the health scare fuelled his desire to succeed. Frustrated by lack of opportunity Swagg took to hustling in the streets. Knowing the lifestyle usually ends in death or a jail sentence, Swagg began investing in self. He purchased his own HD camera and equipment and taught himself how to shoot and edit the footage. Swagg then started writing storyboards and began directing his own viral videos. His entrepreneurial prowess kicked into high gear. He also launched social media profiles on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and MySpace to name a few. His profiles became an instant success garnering 30k followers on Twitter and 20k on Instagram and growing.

He has had sponsorship deals with Grindking, traction wheels and Monkey hardware. In summer 2006 Swagg toured Japan. The buzz created by Swagg Stars concert series landed him an endorsement deal with Double Hard Clothing; a prominent competitor in Japan's urban fashion scene.

Among his influences are Rick Ross, French Montana, 2Pac and Jay-Z.
