Bio

Passing through Germany on a world trip Emilio found Josh on myspace who had just arrived to study in
Düsseldorf, and was looking for musicians to start a project. Josh’s unique songwriting skills drew Emilio´s attention
who decided to stay in Düsseldorf and form a band.
"We spent the first year writing songs and recording demos until we decided to finally put a band together and give
concerts" says Emilio.
Unsuccessful drummer auditions led them to ask Livio, Emilio´s younger brother, who was still living in Brazil, to
come and join the project in Germany.
Soon after the name SWAVE was given to the Band.
„Think of that what you want. We came up with the name somehow and thought it sounded great and fit the music.
The boys sent the name to their mother and she said the name had a great number in numberology terms and a cool
vibe. Their mother believes in energy of letters and all that. And so we kept the name“, says Josh.
The power trio Swave makes modern, atmospheric, dance oriented pop music, with a touch of rock, indie, RNB and
many other unexpected influences.
Formed in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 2009 the band features vocalist and keyboard player Josh Voreau, guitarist
Emilio Pavolini and drummer Livio Volpe.
After many gigs performed, including Rock am Ring in 2009, the trio took a six-month break to refine their music
skills and write new songs.
"We try to make a song as catchy as we can before we start to arrange it. We play it a couple of times on the guitar
and if by the end of the day we all can still remember it, that means we are on the right way", says Josh.
The result of this effort is their upcoming debut EP "Whizzdom".
"The EP is gonna be the collection of different experiences and a representation of different countries put together.
It’s pure unique pop and is great fun to listen to“, says Josh.
