Sweet Melody Biography

Born in Lakenheath, England and raised on the east coast from New York to Florida, Sweet Melody has grown into an inspirational gospel artist. The name Sweet Melody was influenced by Ephesians 5:19, Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Her music is a sweet melody to the hearers as she sings and poetically rhymes with the rhythm of a captivating beat. The purpose of Sweet Melodys music is to encourage the people through spiritual songs to relieve the oppressed, the fatherless, and the widows as found in Isaiah 1:17. Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. Sweet Melody is the voice for the community.

Sweet Melody was not always a gospel artist. Before giving her life over to the Lord, she did shows with Juvenile, Trina, Swisher House, Lil Flip, Yin-Yang Twins and other southern mainstream artists of that time. Once she committed her life to God, her life did a 360 and her desire to reach the community increased as she endeavored in outreach to get the message of Jesus Christ, his saving grace, and the good news of our redemption to the masses.

After a 6 year break, Sweet Melody is back to make a difference and set a standard in the music industry. Taking the less traveled road, shes determined to follow through as Gods messenger as stated in Isaiah 40:3, The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
