Sweet 88’s debut album,“Year of the Lady,” is a call for making positive life choices. The title track, “Year of the Lady” is a head-bobbing anthem for ladies celebrating healthy relationships. The sizzling club tune, “Girlfriend,” bumps a hypnotic melody that lingers while a girl reveals her mutual attraction to a single man – who isn’t already in a relationship. The Wham cover tune, “Everything,” is a sweet rendition that pops with an infectious upbeat groove and hot vocals. It’s destined to be one of Sweet88’s many smashes!
The name Sweet88 originates from the symbol, "8" which stands for infinity, prosperity, limitless and without boundaries. In life, truly successful, happy people are those in great relationships, whether it be with their God, family or friends as they are... hence the 8 needed a partner - 88 - and you'll soon find out how SWEET they are!
T. Ornett, President and CEO of OMG, signed each member for their dynamic all-around talent and personality. To put icing on the cake, Sweet88 is the first and only girl group where each member comes from 4 different NBA teams: LA Lakers, LA Clippers, Golden State Warriors, and Washington Wizards.
