The Emily Duff Band

The Emily Duff Band grew up on the classics and pay tribute daily. With great lyrics and infectious melodies, their rhythym driven Americana-Country-Rock draws from a well of many layers. Led Zeppelin, Steve Earle, Marshall Tucker, Moby Grape, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Patti Smith, The Mavericks, Elvis Costello, The Ventures and The Clash are just a few of the bands that The Emily Duff Band love. Em comes from a blues and country background. She replaced Jeff Buckley as the lead singer of Gary Lucas' Gods & Monsters and then went on to front her own group called EUDORA. EUDORA was chosen in 1999 to open for Bob Dylan & Paul Simon at The Jones Beach Ampitheater. Tommy "Schecky" Davis has been playing lead guitar with Emily Duff since the late 90's and is a dead ringer in the ways of Country, Blues, Surf & Rockabilly guitar. His pickin' amazes all and has been known to make a blind man see....Bill Gerstel hails from 3 Teens Kill 4 and is the drummer you always dreamed of. Rock steady, willing to try new stuff, a great guy and super responsible (unheard of!), Ron Ballin rounds out the quartet on bass and is as comfortable playing 5 strings as he is on 4. A great jazz and blues player, Ron is having the time of his life laying back and serving the songs Em writes. He and Bill are locking and rocking the way a rythym section was born to lock and rock. The Emily Duff Band is damn good music.
