Bio

The lush, swaying, seasoned, rock N roll sound that is "Sweet Jesus" began in early 2003, with singer/songwriter Bobby Malvestuto, guitarist Will Feffer and Crystal Pistols on drums. In the following year, "Sweet Jesus" played a little over a handful of shows and in February of 2005, received a recording offer. "Sweet Jesus" recorded their self-titled E.P. at Foundry Studios, with help from Cody Davis (of “Novatone”) on Bass and Ben Erickson (of Mountain Con) on keys. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by audio wizard (and bass player of “Mountain Con”) Pierre Fergusson. In following months, the song "Make a Million" received radio airplay on 90.3 KEXP Seattle and “Sweet Jesus” began looking to put together a more permanent 5-piece band. In September 2005, Jeremy Michell joined on bass and Holly Houser on keyboards. Jeremy’s skill as a bass player and over-all sound man/recording engineer has been a huge gift to the band, as well as Holly’s gorgeous keyboard and vocal melodies. Since then, "Sweet Jesus" has played 5 shows, sharing the stage with bands such as "Red Jacket Mine", "Henry Bee No One", "Lady Krishna’s Peppermint Lounge" and "The Emergency”. On March 11th, they played in-studio on 90.3 KEXP's local show Audioasis. Their E.P. will be available in stores in March, and the band is currently working on a full length release.
