Bio
Lou Dasaro has been singing and playing guitar in bands and other musical groups in Illinois and Wisconsin for over thirty years. Born and raised on the west side of Chicago and Oak Park, he is the son of musical pioneer Bette Eilers, who played trumpet with the CSO, Lyric Opera, Joffrey Ballet, and many others. Lou’s background is a mix of classical and popular; he sang tenor (and occasionally baritone) for eight years with a small classical choral group; he sang tenor for three seasons with the UW-Whitewater Gospel Choir, occasionally soloing. Most recently he played with a 20-piece pop/rock horn band.
In Spring, 2008, at the urging of some of the musicians he played with casually, he started Sweet Lou’s Rhythm and Blues. A band designed to entertain while showcasing both Lou and the other performers in the band. Biographies for our musicians can be viewed by clicking on the individual's name at www.SweetLouBand.com
