Our cd came from the night stalker, a nickname attributed to a friend who thought his wife was sleeping in a tent on our campsite at Rockfest in Cadott, Wisconsin. Fortunately, she was not, but he harassed the hell out of the poor guy in the tent. The friend found his wife later. The guy in the tent asked if the "nightstalker" was still around the next morning. Nightstalker became "Nightwatch" as we ended up becoming the mediator in this tricky situation. The rest is history - Sweetrock has gone on to play and promote their music throughout the state.

The music is remeniscent of early 80's physchedelic and heavy metal styles, with influences from Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead and The Who.

With guitar plugged in and microphone turned on, Ben S. (aka Stoney)on guitar harp and vocals does much of the male vocals. He has played numerous back to back shows in the midwest with Cheap Trick, his band also backing up other national acts such as Rick Derringer and Luther Allison. His former bandmates in Ruby Star went on to open for The Who in Milwaukee. A versatile vocalist, guitar and harmonica player, Stoney says "Sometimes we get stuck in the seventies, but you know man, that's where its at for us, you know what I mean?"

Kristin S. )aka Krissy K) is the other half of our husband - wife team. Krissy says, "I honestly don't know what I saw in that guy. Maybe it'e the way he played guitar. Maybe it was just our kinky personalities. Now that you know me, why don't you come watch and listen for awhile? " Her fingers never leave the keys, creating that rich deep bass, honky-tonk piano , vintage organ and synthesizer sound that is the backbone of our music. Krissy's vocals are extraordinary, sometimes bouncing off the ceiling with a rickochet. "Flattery will get you everywhere, my dear," Krissy says. (Oh yes . . . but back to personalities. . .

Troy L. (aka Slash) is perhaps the most scholarly of us. Slash says, "To beat or not to beat, that is the question. When in the course of human events, drums were placed upon this planet to be struck with wood sticks to produce a bright, percussive sound. My drums were placed upon this stage in order for me to beat the s # # # out of them. I am now going to beat the # # # # # # # s### out of my drums. Snakespeare, you know."
Troy is a veteran player and 'power drummer' and also the driving force behind us. Together with the guitar and keyboard/bass, Slash really rocks our compliment of three.
