Unique edgy country sound with attitude. Sweet harmonies blended with "spunky" confidence to produce a sound unlike any female trio in country music.

Biography

Three green-eyed teens and sensational singers, Kelsey Carroll, Jeanna Upchurch, and Whitney Hennigan have been serenading audiences for the last seven years as a trio, and their jade colored eyes inspired their chic name, SweetWater Jade. Kelsey, Jeanna, and Whitney’s trendy musical flair for modern country music is perfected by their unique voices and unique harmonies coupled with their spunky personalities.

The humble beginnings for SweetWater Jade began in Magnolia State, Mississippi. These three southern teens shared a love for performing and entertaining, a drive for dedication to long and hard work, and belief that all things are possible through faith.

Honing their musical skills, Kelsey, Jeanna, and Whitney all sought private voice lessons. Interestingly enough, these three girls had never been acquainted and solely hared their love for music and the same voice teacher. From the suggestion of their voice teacher, all three teens decided to take their solo skills and unite as a harmonizing group to perform in a State Fair competition. “Our goal was to perform in the group category at the fair. After the competition we had so much fun singing as a group we decided to continue,” Kelsey says. Looking back on their first competition, this talented trio has now been blessed to be singing together for seven years. “We started as a group wanting to do competitions and then we started getting more opportunities to sing at places,” Kelsey says.

SweetWater Jade has showcased their talents from venues adorned with boots and spurs to bring lights and crowds with thousands of fans. SweetWater Jade has been the opening act for the Beach Boys, Sammy Kershaw, Dierks Bentley, Josh Turner, Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, and Aaron Tippin. They have performed at the Peavy Awards, where they were presented as Mississippi’s Future Grammy Contenders, the Liberty Bowl, Dixie National Rodeo, Statue of Liberty 4th of July Celebration and their first 2007 CMA Music Fest Nashville, Tennessee.

Can't Let you kiss me

Written By: Sandra Leigh Knox, Kim Chadwick Tribble

Down on your knees, beggin forgiveness
Apology not accepted
For every tear I’ve cried, you have had an alibi
Boy you never tell the truth, now it’s comin
It’s comin back on you

Cant let you kiss me
Cant let you kiss me
Cant let you kiss me with the same lips
That tell me lies

Don’t wanna hear no lame excuses
I don’t even care what the truth is
What can I believe, you’re always lying through your teeth
I was such an easy touch, but you won’t get
You won’t get close enough

Cant let you kiss me
Cant let you kiss me
Cant let you kiss me with the same lips
That tell me lies

I gotta do what is right for my heart
And walk away from what’s tearin me apart
Face the tears. Face the truth
Cause a woman’s gotta do
What a woman’s gotta do and I

Cant let you kiss me
Cant let you kiss me
Cant let you kiss me with the same lips woa i
Cant let you kiss me
Cant let you kiss me
Cant let you kiss me with the same lips
That tell me lies

You’re telling me lies
Don’t tell me lies
I cant let you kiss me
You’re telling me lies
No no no lies
I cant let you kiss me
I wont let you kiss me

Walkin

Written By: Bob Dipiero, John Scott Sherrill

Pickup sittin on the side of the road
Doors flung open in the freezing cold
He’s standin there by the passenger side
She’s already 60 yards down 65

Walkin, just walkin with her high heels in her hand
Walkin, she’s done talking to someone who just don’t understand
She’s wearin out her stockings on the interstate
He’s callin out her name but it’s already too late
She’s on her way walkin back to burmingham.

She figured it out in the cab of that truck
Aint no point in talking when your mind’s made up
He’s never gonna know what she’s feelin inside
She’s feelin like she’s just along for the ride, now she’s

Walkin, just walkin with her high heels in her hand
Walkin, she’s done talking to someone who just don’t understand
She’s wearin out her stockings on the interstate
He’s callin out her name but it’s already too late
She’s on her way walkin back to burmingham

Might be a little too dark and a little too cold
Lord knows it’s a long, hard road
Even though it’s a little too far
Wherever you go, there you are

Walkin, just walkin with her high heels in her hand
Walkin, she’s done talking to someone who just don’t understand
She’s wearin out her stockings on the interstate
He’s callin out her name but it’s already too late
She’s on her way walkin back to burmingham
She’s on her way walkin back to burmingham

Burmingham, Walkin back to Burmingham oh she’s walkin.
she figured it out now she’s gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
she’s goin back. She’s goin back home
she’s goin back. She’s goin back home
oooooh. See ya.

Growin Wild

Written By: Karen Rochelle

She stayed with mrs. Odell just up the street
All summer long, we ran around in bare feet
She had no mama and daddy, but she was my friend
And I’d follow her around until the sun went down and mama called me in
She was no stranger to the dangerous side
I knew she was trouble but her smile was as bright as

The sun on the field where the corn reaches high
Wide open and big as the blue in the sky
Like a flower that blooms, an innocent child
Growin wild, growin wild

She told me all of these stories I couldn’t resist
Like the very first time she kissed a boy on the lips
She said she’d fallen in love with billy monteen
The way that she described it to me sounded just like a dream
And I’d lay in my bed late into the night
Imagining love, oh it must have felt like

The sun on the field where the corn reaches high
Wide open and big as the blue in the sky
Like a flower that blooms, an innocent child
Growin wild, growin wild

I heard she was gonna have a baby, that’s what they say
She and that billy monteen up and ran away
She’s never written a card, but I hope she will
Oh cause one thing’s for sure, if she’s out there,
She’s shinin still like

The sun on the field where the corn reaches high
Wide open and big as the blue in the sky
Like a flower that blooms, an innocent child
Growin wild, growin wild, growin wild
