"A Wedding "review""

"Swift Creek is a gem of a band. They performed at my low-country themed wedding and were just awesome. They arrived on time, set up quickly and were so professional. They had wonderful suggestions. As far as special requests- our desired first-dance song was a punk-rock song, and Swift Creek learned it and performed the most beautiful bluegrass version of it. If this band is available and willing to work your gig - jump on the opportunity! You won't regret it. They truly made the event and are wonderful musicians."...JM, recent bride - Bride

"Swift Creek At Ruckus in Cary"

"Ruckus looks for musicians who can bring in a crowd with an upbeat sound and a fun show. Swift Creek filled the bill, so we asked them back.".....Ryan Pilz, Managing Partner, Ruckus Pizza, Pasta and Sprits, Cary, NC - Venue

"Swift Creek at Broad Street Cafe"

"Swift Creek has a great sound and packed the house for their show at The Broad Street Cafe."...John Hite, owner - Venue

Bio

The ages of Swift Creek's band members span from early 30s to early 60s, a predictor of the band's eclectic repertoire. From stirring old gospel numbers like No Hiding Place and Crying Holy, to Irish classics such as Coleen Malone, to folk/rock and bluegrass standards like Fox on the Run and Don't Think Twice....Swift Creek does it all! The band places equal emphasis on newer Americana artists including Old Crow Medicine Show, Cadillac Sky, Lucinda Williams, The Wilders, Gillian Welch and The Avett Brothers, as well as performing some terrific songs written by band members Chris Martin and Kevin Brown and local songwriter, Justin Robertson. All told, SCs members have played in more than a dozen bands, but they all agree that this one has something special.
