Bio
For most people, the most difficult question they could be asked is "In your eyes, what is the most magical thing that has ever happened to you". However, for me, it is quite simple. My answer is meeting my band. What are the odds that i meet the most incredible group of young men (my band) at a tiny school like TLU. TLU is a division-3 religious private school that only has 1400 attended. Out of this ridiculously small sample of people, a group of 4 21 year old guys all meet and find out that we have not only talents that form a band, but we share the same influences for our music. All of our favorite bands are the same, and our playing style meshed perfectly, like puzzle pieces. Guitar ranging from ambient melodies, to deep southern riffs coming together with bass riffs that have a melody of their own while straying away from the simple rock style of root notes. The lead vocals is where we surprise people the most. Our singer, Joe Perry, is a 20 year black male. He is very quirky and not the stereo/phototypical black man. His vocals are even more so counter the stereotype. They are smooth, gentle, and harmonious to the music it self. The quote that I listed above "We sound a lot like Kings of Leon or Band of Horses, right?" stands true. These bands are our main source of inspiration. We understand the new wave of music being engraved into our history. We so naturally play this style, and aim to grasp this wave and ride it for as long as time allows us.
