Bio

Swim Thru Frequencies was started by Ryan Yudez and Clay Meyer in Fort Collins, CO. Ryan Yudez enlisted the help of guitarist and longtime friend Clay Meyer to work on a collection of songs he'd written. They started working together with just two guitars and vocals and the project began to take shape. After recording the basis for a handful of songs at Morning Wood Studios in Fort Collins, CO Meyer and Yudez went in search for additional members to the group. The first addition was a female vocalist, Melody Kloefkorn. With her harmonies and musical insight the three began to build on the basis of the EP. After writing, recording, and mastering was done, Swim Thru Frequencies self titled EP was released July 31st, 2013. A few months after releasing their self titled EP, the band found Travis Hildenbrand, who had just moved from Texas. He was a great addition to the group and filled the spot as the drummer/ percussionist. After finding Hildenbrand the band immediately got to work on recording the LP. Over the course of four months the band pieced together the project recording both at Morning Wood Studios in Fort Collins, CO and at home with the help of Asymmetrical Smile Productions Mobile Rig. Once the LP was fully recorded they took the album out to Los Angeles, CA to have the album mixed and mastered. "Rhythm of Complacency" was mixed in Long Beach, CA at The Compound and mastered in Ecco Park, CA at Infrasonic sound. After finishing the album, keyboard player and long time friend Johnny Bosbyshell joined the group to finalize their lineup.Throughout this process, and the experience of releasing their EP, Swim through frequencies really began to find their voice as a group. The sound is unique to its own and the influences span genres ranging from folk to rock and indie to alternative.
