Swingfish is founded in 2007 by Jacob Mook, Bas Janmaat and leadsinger Monique de Bruin.
During the past years they developed a unique sound. Influenced by the fifties, Swingfish is mixing new popsongs with original instruments like Wurlizer, Rhodes, Philicorda etc. One the new album which is scheduled for winter 2011, Swing, uptempo and ballads are all there. Horns play a big role in the arrangements and for this they did get help from american top session musicians.
Leadsinger Monique de Bruin started her carrier with the Danny Kay Junior songcontest and a leading role in the musical Kaatje Mossel.
Biggest succes so far, is the selection of one song for the american television program CSI New York last year.
