Bio

Rapper, Poet, Entrepreneur, CEO – no matter what kind of vision you have of “Swirv CEO”, you won’t be able to deny that he’s the candidate for all of the titles previously mentioned.

Marvin L. Thompson, Jr. (born December 30, 1980) is truly a rapper and entrepreneur well known for the appreciation and the passion he has for music. As an artist, Thompson uses the stage name “Swirv CEO” and is often compared to no other. He has a style and flow of his own that is guaranteed to be at the top of the charts. He has always been intrigued with music and has equipped himself with the proper information to make the decision to take not only himself, but other talented artists he’s come in contact with to the top of the charts.

Thompson was born in a small town located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore to Angela Hammond and Marvin Thompson, Sr. (both natives of Federalsburg, MD). He was raised by his mother in Federalsburg, MD attending Caroline County Public Schools. During his high school years while playing basketball, he earned the name “Swirv” from his teammates for illest spin moves on the court. “CEO” comes from his belief that “Capital Equals Opportunity”. He grew up in a home of love and Christian principles. Thompson has been a lover of music at a young age. At an early age, it was clear to see that Thompson was destined to be an entertainer.

Thompson lived most of his life between Maryland and Delaware where he has gained popularity for his works in music. Despite his surroundings, Thompson managed to do positive things with his life and became an entrepreneur. With his love and support for music, while writing and strategically planning his own career in music, Thompson has also developed his own record label entitled Combined Formula Entertainment (established in 1995). Not only does Thompson co-sign his own record label, but is currently developing several artists from Maryland/Delaware and is working on a future clothing line. All of his life, he has known that he’d pursue a career in music and slowly things changed for him. Thompson and his company have many supporters who believe that him and the company have the potential to go from an unknown local rapper with the reputation of being one of the region’s most prolific artists.

Growing up, Thompson’s musical influences were Tupac (who he was a big fan of), Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, NAS, Stack Bundles, Big L, Redman, Method Man, and Wu Tang Clan. Thompson decided that he too would one day be like all he admired as a young boy. Thompson’s truest believer was his mother who recognized his God-given talents and struggled to keep him on the right path while still raising her family. Thompson claimed his blessing and was determined to be successful in the music industry. He hung around and collaborated with well known artists who noticed his talent and encouraged him to pursue his career, but the death of his maternal grandmother, made it seem impossible to take advantage of the connections at the time.

Long before collaborating with Reed Dolllaz, Omillio Sparks, and Freeway. Thompson has been hurtin em in the streets with his lyrics and awesome flow that move all who hear him for the first time. His debut album “King of the City” has already created a major stir in his hometown, which is believed to easily sell drastically worldwide. Thompson’s records definitely will become classics in the music industry. His name has buzzed locally now the time has come to create that same buzz globally. Hits you’ll enjoy are “King of the City”, “Party Live”, and “Tatted Up”. All three will keep everyone jamming from their home entertainment systems to car stereos and clubs.
