Bio

What causes a young man with unquestionable talent to devote his gifts to someone else? No funny feelings, no butterflies in the stomach, no tingles, no twitches. Only something extremely real can cause an extremely real reaction. Switch’d not only writes music, but lives his life for the glory of God because he has experienced first hand how God has changed him. He knows what it feels like to be set free and given a second chance. In fact, he knows what it feels like to be “switched” into a completely new person.

Hailing from the Bronx, NY, Switch’d lived through and overcame various trials to become the man he is today. He speaks candidly to audiences about his experiences and the deliverance that God granted him from molestation as a child, addiction to pornography, and attraction to the street life. He realizes that his story is one that is hardly told or accepted in rap culture, and that is exactly why he’s been ordained for a time such as this to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to a hardened generation. When listening to his clever punch lines, catchy choruses, and deep insights into the word of God, it isn’t hard to tell that he has been equipped with a unique style and personality that breaks down barriers and enables real communication. In his song, “Flamethrowaz,” Switch’d spits: “And the truth is, it’s more than pulpits, we’re in them ‘hard to reach’ areas like toothpicks,” and true to this line, Switch’d speaks especially to the hood and those who aspire to glory from being involved with drugs, guns, gangs, and promiscuous lifestyles. Along with label founder, Lavoisier, and other artists on AOmega Global Military Records, Switch’d strives to knock down the stereotypes and dissect the lies that his generation is constantly buying into. God’s love and power to change has been granted to everyone, and Switch’d is definitely up to the task of spreading that information to the world.
