Hailing from the Bronx, NY, Switch’d lived through and overcame various trials to become the man he is today. He speaks candidly to audiences about his experiences and the deliverance that God granted him from molestation as a child, addiction to pornography, and attraction to the street life. He realizes that his story is one that is hardly told or accepted in rap culture, and that is exactly why he’s been ordained for a time such as this to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to a hardened generation. In his song, “Flamethrowaz,” Switch’d spits: “And the truth is, it’s more than pulpits, we’re in them ‘hard to reach’ areas like toothpicks,” and true to this line, Switch’d speaks especially to the hood and those who aspire to glory from being involved with drugs, guns, gangs, and promiscuous lifestyles.
