Syba

Syba, Rock Guitarist from Italy, comes in those pages with one of his best songs called "Arjen M.". It sounds great, really nice. Syba's sound is contaminated from Steve Vai's sound, and this song seems to come from Vai's album called Fire Garden. Syba play very good, he shows to know perfectly the Mr. Vai's "secrets" . Syba's creativity is great and his project, although it's not so original, it sounds good for the composition and the arrangement. Bravo! - Chitarre (TM)

Syba has to be one of the most talented people I've ever seen, certainly the most in the past few years.

This CD i got from him is basically a compilation of his works from two projects: Puppets and Xperience . Syba is basically a one man band. He performs all guitar and bass parts, while the background a computer, a computer he programmed and using appropriate music synthesis software, does keys and drums. Unlike in the past, the technology is coming a long way and you would have to listen hard to tell where the computer begins and where it ends. The computer is adequate but the guitar playing is amazing. His guitar talks to you in perfect stereo balance!

The disc explodes with the "talking guitar" (as I call it) on track 1: Mr. Hangman and moves on to perfect harmony on Sad Boy (3). In fact, it just doesn't let up. The entire disc is instrumental but unlike most instrumental acts there is simply no room for vocals here for when the track is done you don't feel that a voice was needed: the story was told as-is.

It is an independent recording, after-all, and lacks that "spit-and-shine" polish that a professional would give it but excusing the obvious, in my humble opinion, the talent for both the technical and the art in almost perfect balance here makes this an excellent recording and one of the best I've ever put into this database; the reason this database was created was to give people like Syba notice... well world, here he is! He even dresses the part of a rocker (more leather and the look would be perfect.... ); Syba is a man after my own heart.

Loaded with high-energy instrumental hard rock from the Joe Satriani / Steve Vai style of music, the syba's tunes were recorded with his two separate projects: "Puppets" (a more mature project) and "XperiencE" (a newer instrumental rock project). Syba is a furious shredder, able to insert faster-than-a -speeding-bullet notes in between measure lines like nobody's business. He also possesses a quality that recognizes the importance of groove and melodic interest in a composition, setting a better stage for the incendiary solos to follow. This is not as common as one might think, and certainly makes for a great listening experience - fellow artists might take a careful listen to Syba's work and pick up a few things.

Syba is a name that we could to hear in the future, because he's a great guitar player, he comes from Republic of San Marino (italy). "Target The Heart" comes after the previous projects "Trash", "XperiencE" and "Puppets". With this record Syba gives us fortysix minutes of great music with ten tracks really different between them. His solos are not repetitive and obvious, he creates different melodies and they are awesome. His winning style is cool, energetic and powerful, it's full of melody, technique and passion. The title track is one of the best album's songs, in 6 minuties it gives exotic sounds very fascinating, Syba's love for the guitar emerges strongly, the notes are emphatic, amazing, for an intimate song. While we're still wrapped in a dreaming and sensual atmosphere, we approach an other particular song, it's called "MY Mysterious Garden". This song sounds charming, it's an wonderful track. After a few of sweet melodies the record get hot with electric powerful sound, like old rock style, so "B@d Comp@ny" and "Blue Apple" show us some Syba's talent. "Six Strings For A Dream" gives us an incredible sensation, it's an amazing song, it's pure ecstasy for us. Syba's hands make his sound like a voice, his notes describe his passion and his energy totally. When the hands sing emotions are guaranteed. "Tharget The Heart" is listenable and good for mind and heart. Get it!

It's clear from the first track on Syba's “DUST” album that he's a great guitar player.

From the opening funky riffs of "The Baked Potato" to the melodic grandeur of his tribute to his father in "A Prayer for You" to the hypnotically poetic groove of "Moscow Summer" as well as the enthralling classic rock of songs like "Dust" & "Dirty Hands", Syba's fourth album release is a magical, musical journey through his first summer in America.
Syba's visit started in New York , hence the song "Rat In A Room", and ended in Los Angeles where he now resides. The nasty riffs of "Hellywood" & the enchanting fury of "Rainbow" should be self explanitory to anyone who has graced the Sunset Strip.

Born in Italy, though Syba's music is loaded with high-energy instrumental hard rock along the lines of greats like Steve Vai & Joe Satriani,
there is still a subtle Latin essence that whispers through the songs which sets them apart from his famous predecesors. A furious shredder that will impress any player, it's Syba's strong comprehension of song structure and beautiful appreciation of melody that will pull you into the musical dreamscape that he paints.

"Dust" is a remarkable CD and Syba is a phenomenal artist. If success is really more about doing than dreaming, he has delivered.
His vision is clear. His music is amazing. The only dust I see here is that from a star.
