Biography

Martin "Synapz" Gales, a resident of the Bay Area has been a proud support of electronic music. Beginning in the early 90's is when Synapz got into electronic music by scouting the airwaves. Listening to every form from house to ambient. Once stumbling across LTJ Bukem's "Rebirth" cd. Synapz became a dedicated fan of drum & bass music.
Inspired by DJ Apollo in 02', Synapz began CDJing thanks to the emerging dj technology of cd turntables. After nearly a decade of being in the underground music scene. Synapz launched his first album mix "Escape From Alcatraz" in the summer of 03'. The album generated positive reviews thus transforming Synapz from an avid fan to a bold and daring producer of dance music.
From that Synapz would found his record label SIAS Records which focussed primarily on drum & bass. As his musical style began to progress so would the label. In 05' the label transformed to become Scavenger Recordings. Where he independently released his second album "Atari Strikes Back". Which would include other electronica genres such as Nu Skool Breaks, Trip Hop, and House.
Synapz frequently plays out. He has performed at Anthem, Salted @ Mighty, and Selector @ Jupiter in Berkeley. Synapz is currently attending Expression College for Digital Arts. Along with that he is promoting his upcoming 12" single "The Dearest".
