SYVERLAND

BandPopAcoustic

After many years in doing different kind of music styles (mainly rock and electronica) we ended up with this SPECIAL SYVERLAND SOUND! We're very pleased with the result and can't wait to play it for as many people as we can! It doesn't have to be a dusin people in a band to sound great. Less is more

Biography

Syverland is a singer/songwriter duo consisting of Lena Nerland and Jan Erik Syversen. Our music is mirroring the dynamic between the two of us which in turn creates a very special nerve when performing live to our audience. The texts are inspired from life long experiences, travel, literature, ups-and-downs and from interactions with an endless list of interesting people. The sound itself is inspired from all music available around us. We are not trying to be or sound like other than ourself. Welcome to the magic Syverland - We hope you enjoy listening to our music!

Lyrics

Already Taken

Written By: Jan-Erik Syversen

On a Monday afternoon
I went down and to do my laundry
It was then I first saw you
saw you smiling

You asked me for my name
as you told me you were new here
I looked down at the floor
I was blushing

Beause you were in the dream I had
you were walking slowly towards me
And I was smiling as you said
that you loved me
And now this dream was coming through
never thought that you existed
My new neighbour that was you
I was happy

CHORUS
But I how could I know that you had kids and wife upstairs
Because in my dream you were all mine
And how could I know that you were already taken
I couldn’t sleep at all that night

See you playing with your kids
and your wife is there beside you
You don’t even notice me
when I watch you

I can’t live here anymore
I will leave this place tomorrow
When I meet you at the store
I feel like crying

CHORUS
But I how could I know that you had kids and wife upstairs
Because in my dream you were all mine
And how could I know that you were already taken
I couldn’t sleep at all that night
