Lyrics

Toxic Blue

Written By: Terry Alexander

The deeper we go
The ride getting worse now
And I feel an itching on my skin
Thirsty again now

I don’t wanna ride in the back of the truck
I don’t wanna go down choking
I feel I’m heading closer to the end of my luck
I’m not gonna break it, I’m not gonna take it no more

The ride getting worse
The scent getting stronger
And I think we better get out of this place
Can’t take it much longer

I don’t wanna ride in the back of the truck
I don’t wanna do down choking
I feel I’m heading closer to the end of my luck
I’m not gonna break it, I’m not gonna take it no more

The word isn’t good
The kid’s getting weaker
And no matter how hard her momma tries
It gets harder to feed her

I’m not gonna hide anymore of this stuff
I’m just gonna go down fighting
I feel I’m running closer to the end of my luck
I’m not gonna fake it, I’m not gonna take it no more…

Lay Low

Written By: Terry Alexander

Lay low
When you think they’re out to get you.
Lay low
Don’t even make a sound.
Fly high
If nobody’s watching and it hits you.
But lay low
The minute you touch the ground.

I can’t forget, they don’t remember
Our nation’s birth, our nation’s lies.
My country’s wrong I can can’t defend her.
I can condone the other side.

Lay low
When you think they’re out to get you.
Lay low
Don’t even make a sound.
Fly high
If nobody’s watching and it hits you.
But lay low
The minute you touch the ground.

I cannot feel a need or purpose
I cannot hear above the cries
I can’t define or scratch the surface
I can’t explain, you can’t deny.

Lay low
When you think they’re out to get you.
Lay low
Don’t even make a sound.
Fly high
If nobody’s watching and it hits you.
But lay low
The minute you touch the ground.

No where to run, no time to linger.
The sense of fear, the sense of loss.
I see that button and your finger
The time is here, the coin is tossed.

Lay low
When you think they’re out to get you.
Lay low
Don’t even make a sound.
Fly high
If nobody’s watching and it hits you.
But lay low
The minute you touch the ground.

'90

Written By: Terry Alexander

Ten years ago, I just finished up playing
Moving all the gear off the boat.
Found the closest freeway
Settled back, turned on the radio.
The news was just breaking through
Couldn’t believe it when I heard it
Holding back the pain as he spoke.
Taken by a madman,
Why’d I have to turn on the radio?
80’, 80’
Taken by that madman
Why’d I have to turn on the radio?

Ten years gone by, I’m still playing
But I lost a little spark long ago.
Oh yeah the years flew by
And nothing happened much
Just as the story goes.
But is the cycle finally changing?
Hear it everyday.
This could be the decade of hope.
I see the twenty second news bites
I hear it on the late night radio.
90’ 90’
Taken by that madman
Why’d I have to turn on the radio?

Ten years from now, I’ll still be playing
Even it I have to play it alone.
Find the perfect lead line
A perfect little hook for the radio.
And I will never forget
The push that I could get
From those four boys so long ago.
Even to this day
You can hear them anyway on the radio.

Set List

TAG has no typical set list due to the diversity of the venues they play. Some venues require more subdued mucis, while others lend more to a rock and roll performance. TAG disperses their original tunes amongst popular songs dating back to the '60's up to current hits.
